Our signature spontaneous writing event gets a poetic makeover for an evening!

Co-hosted by longtime Story Wars friend Indira Sammuels, we'll take on special prompts and new spins on superlatives. We're excited to commune with our fellow writers in the bustling Clevenad poetry scene.

If you've never attended a Story Wars event, it goes like this:

• There are 3 rounds in total

• At the begining of each round, a random prompt is drawn

• Participants will then get 5 minutes to create their stories--or in this case, poem!

• Once time is up, writers will get up to read their work our to the audience

• At the end of each round we let democracy take over! Everyone--writers and listeners alike--will cast their votes for their favorite writers!

• There are mulitple ways to win: you can win a round (by writing to that round's superlative best), or overall winner. Overall winners are determined by accumulated votes over all three rounds

This event is free and open to all! Come to listen and enjoy the poetry, or try your hand at some spontaneous verses.
